Every word you find scores points based on its length — longer words are worth significantly more than short ones, so a 6-letter word is worth many times more than a 3-letter one. Finding the word that uses all six letters clears the round instantly, banking a bonus on top of its base score plus extra points for however much time you have left on the clock — so solving it quickly is worth real points, not just progress.
